Paediatric physiotherapy to help maximise your child’s potential.
About Us
Mini Me Therapy was established in 2021 with the vision to provide specialist physiotherapy services using the unique properties of water to help people of all ages achieve their goals.
At Mini Me Therapy, we strive to provide a high quality physiotherapy service to children with additional needs so that they can improve their physical skills and participate in play activities with their peers. We know families are one of the most important supports in a child’s development, that’s why we will work in partnership with you to help your child to be their best.
Although we specialise in treating children with developmental and neurological disabilities, we can also help adults and those with other conditions that affect their physical function.
Our Services
Mini Me Therapy offers physiotherapy services for children in the Northern Sydney region. We can assess and treat children as young as newborn through to adolescents, including infants with developmental delay, or children diagnosed with neurological or rare genetic conditions.
Having worked in several multidisciplinary paediatric clinics in Sydney, our team has the knowledge and expertise to work with your child and develop an individualised treatment plan to help achieve their goals. Any child with a movement difficulty, or needing ongoing developmental support would benefit from an assessment.
Although we specialise in aquatic physiotherapy services , land-based physiotherapy sessions at home can also be offered.
What is Aquatic Physiotherapy?
Previously known as “hydrotherapy”, aquatic physiotherapy is the use of physiotherapy techniques and exercises within the aquatic environment, applying the principles of water to help achieve a therapeutic goal. The many benefits of aquatic physiotherapy can include improvements in strength, endurance, range of motion, balance, coordination and relaxing of muscle tone.
Aquatic physiotherapy can be used to help treat those with a variety of developmental, neurological or musculoskeletal condition, including developmental delay, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, rare genetic conditions, hypermobility disorders, post-operative recovery and stroke. Anyone from the age of 6 months can enjoy the benefits of aquatic physiotherapy and work on skills such as sitting, crawling, walking, running and jumping. Components of water safety are also integrated into each play-based session.
